Obituary

Walter Thomas "Tom" Wenner, 69, died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born Sept. 2, 1947, in Canton, Ohio, to James P. and Barbara R. (Moorehead) Wenner.

Tom graduated from Haven High School in 1965. He retired as a security guard at CHS in McPherson.

Tom is survived by: brothers, Gary Wenner, Jim Wenner and wife Shirley; sisters, Mary Felty and Patricia Tinder; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Wenner, all of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, David; sister, Sheryl Chappel; and brothers-in-law, Gary Felty and Richard Tinder.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, with Pastor Gary Getting officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main Hutchinson, KS 67501.
