Tressie Marie Roberts, 94, of Hutchinson, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born January 30, 1924, in Augusta, Kansas, the daughter of James and Osa (Sapp) Cummings.

She was a 1942 graduate of Hutchinson High School and had been a receptionist for Dr. Brooks and retired from Dr. Coleman's office. Tressie's first and foremost love was her family. Love of music, KU basketball, gardening, and going to the lake were just a few of her favorite things in life.

On June 1, 1942, she married Eldon Roberts in Mankato. He died May 14, 1999. Survivors include: her children, Jerry and wife Nancy, Judy Voeltz, Yvonne Railsback, Kathy Yoder, all of Hutchinson, and Jo Lynne Seaton and husband Randy of Arlington; daughter-in-law, Kathy Roberts of Hutchinson; sister, Dora Smith of Kinsley; brother, James Cummings and wife Vicky of Augusta; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son, John and son-in-laws, Marvin Voeltz, Murry Graves, and A. Ray Yoder.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Kim Biery presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
