Trina Irene Trussell, 60, of South Hutchinson, died May 17, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born September 2, 1959, in Fort Riley, to Jack and Dorothy (Sutton) Trussell.

Trina graduated from high school in Arvada, CO. She worked as a cook for Furr's Cafeteria, Hutchinson, and then for Nickerson USD309 since 2001. Trina loved kids, coffee, Pepsi, Hershey's chocolate with nuts, Lay's potato chips, the Denver Broncos and Nickerson Panthers. She was a member of Nickerson United Methodist Church.

Trina is survived by: children, Courtney Malecki (Jeremiah), John Trussell, Jack Trussell (Alicia), Jake Trussell, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Eric and Emily Malecki, Kenze Byard, Josiah and Addi Trussell; father, Jack Trussell, Topeka; sisters, Theresa Trussell, Northglenn, CO, and Tam Small (Vernon), Loveland, CO.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2020, at Elliott Chapel. Attendees are encouraged to wear Broncos or Panthers attire. Due to COVID-19, social-distancing according to Kansas state guidelines will be enforced. The service will be live-streamed on Elliott Mortuary's Facebook page.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday thru Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.  Memorials are suggested to Panther Pride, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
