WINNSBORO, Texas – Ulela Irene "Red" Baker, 76, died Nov. 16, 2014, at her daughter's home in Winnsboro, Texas. She was born Jan. 31, 1938, in Mulberry, to Walter Byron and Ruby Irene (Burke) Hamilton.
She was married to Lawrence G. Freer on Feb. 20, 1956. She then married Wylie D. Baker on Oct. 19, 1970. Lawrence and Wylie both preceded her in death.
She is survived by: children, Cindy Newboles-Faulk, Paul Freer, Ginger Freer, Sarah Freer, Misty Baker, Wylie Baker Jr., Joy Deckness; stepson, Eddie Dean Baker; sister, Leona Teague; brothers, Marion "Pete" Hamilton, Raymond Hamilton; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Ulela was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Larry Dennis "Denny" Freer, Jackie Gilford "Jack" Freer.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at Fairlawn Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating.
