Vada V. Tucker's Obituary
Vada V. Tucker, 87, died June 25, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Ernest W. and Gertrude M. Nelson Schroll. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she had worked for Saylor Cleaners for 20 years.
She belonged to Community Church of the Brethren.
On Feb. 27, 1937, she married C. Wayne Tucker in Salina. He died Oct. 9, 1986.
Survivors include: a daughter, Carolyn Davies and husband Monte, Hutchinson; three grandchildren, John Davies, Josh Davies and Lisa Gonzales; and five great-grandchildren, Trenton Davies, Cole Davies, Samuel Gonzales, Lindsey Davies and Brittany Ybarra.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Ann Tucker; and two sisters.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Marlo Oltman presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson.
