Vella H. Moulton, 103, of South Hutchinson, died February 28, 2018, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born January 28, 1915, in Plattsmouth, NE, to Henry and Florence (Neal) Wohlfarth.

On April 11, 1937, Vella married Chester B. Moulton. She was a homemaker who loved gardening, bowling, playing bingo and card games. Vella and her husband belonged to many camping clubs and were 'Winter Texans' for many years. She enjoyed playing shuffleboard on these trips and even won trophies.

Survivors include: son, Jerry Moulton and wife Lynn of Hutchinson; daughter, Betty Jean Gilbert of Denison, TX; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband; daughters, Joan Moulton and Judy Kindle; granddaughter, Heather Moulton; grandson, Mickey Kindle; sisters, Bernice Daves, Dorothy Ellen Emrick, and Charlotte Wohlfarth; and a brother, Robert Wohlfarth.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Burrton Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Thurston officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
