Velma M. Peoples, 90, died Dec. 13, 2010, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson. She was born Sept. 6, 1920, at Pretty Prairie. She was a homemaker and former manager of Commerce Gardens Apartments.
In 1940, she married Charles W. Peoples at Partridge. He died Jan. 6, 1980. Survivors include: daughters, Nancy Peoples, Haven, and Sylvia Peoples, Lubbock, Texas. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Sara Davis Blodgett presiding. A private family burial will be held in Partridge Cemetery, Partridge. Memorials may be made to Reno County Historical Society, in care of the mortuary.
