Velma U. Wilson's Obituary
Velma U. Wilson, 80, died May 21, 2008, at the Hutchinson Hospital. She was born March 8, 1928, at Newton, to John and Mary Unruh Bafus.
She was a homemaker and graduated from Newton High School in 1946. She belonged to the First Christian Church, Hutchinson.
On Aug. 13, 1946, she married Richard O. Wilson in Hutchinson. He died Feb. 13, 2006.
Survivors include: sons, John Wilson and Richard Wilson, both of Hutchinson; daughters, Pam Emmerich, Sherry Nevius, Susie Belt, all of Hutchinson, Julie Cutting of Olathe, Connie Delg of Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and John Bafus.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, with the Rev. John Warring presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the donor's choice.
