Veneta Marcella Chapin, 69, of Hutchinson, passed away April 21, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born August 21, 1955, in El Dorado, to Elmer Wagner and Glady's Mariana (Hublitz) Roland.

Veneta moved to Hutchinson from Medicine Lodge in 1995. She was very passionate about her family and was always willing to help anyone. She loved playing bingo, golf, and hanging out with her family on their land in Medicine Lodge. In addition, Veneta was an avid dog lover and would care for all animals.

On August 11, 1972, she married Willis 'Bill' Luke Chapin, in Medicine Lodge. They shared over 52 years of marriage.

Left to cherish her memories are: her husband, Bill Chapin of Hutchinson, KS; son, Stephen Chapin of Hutchinson, KS; daughter, Stephanie (Chad) Boone of Greenville, ME; grandchildren, Jadin (Dylan) Boone of Greenville, ME and Devin (Payje) Boone of Moosup, CT; great-grandson, Miles of Greenville, ME; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 sisters; 5 brothers; and her beloved dog, Jessie.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
