Verga Beth Deal's Obituary
Verga Beth Deal, 86, died Sept. 19, 2013, at Buhler Sunshine Meadows Nursing Home, Buhler, Kan. She was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Burrton, Kan., to Edward Franklin and Hattie Elizabeth Haddock Deal.
She graduated from Buhler High School in 1945. At the age of 18, she had worked for a short while at the Navy base. Verga Beth was an active member of the Burrton Christian Church, teaching the Senior Sunday School class. Survivors include: brother, Charles Deal and wife Marianne of Hutchinson, Kan.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jay Deal; niece, Andrea Deal; and lifetime special friend, Jeff Corley.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Burrton Christian Church, Burrton, Kan., with Pastor Kerr presiding. Burial will follow in Burrton Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Burrton Christian Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
