Obituary

Verla "Kay" Kincaid, 83, of Mount Hope, passed away on March 25, 2025, at Reflection Living in Hutchinson. She was born on June 24, 1941, in Hutchinson, to Verl and Chlo Ann (Eisminger) Stiggins.

Kay graduated from Partridge High School, Class of 1959 and then attended Vernon's School of Cosmetology.  She was a proud and dedicated cosmetologist for over 60 years. She was a member of the Haven Women's Golf Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaimi Kincaid (Ric Torla) of Wichita; son, Kory Kincaid (Charity) of Burrton; siblings, Nancy Fingerle (Bruce), Linda Sue Cox (Steven), Brad Stiggins, and Becky Stubby (Steve Wyckoff); seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Doug Stiggins; and nephew, Aaron Cox.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025, and a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025, both at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Ryan Schadler officiating.

Family and friends may sign the guest book Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midwest Adaptive Sports and Mt. Hope Larsen Community Center, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
