Obituary

erna A. Colley, 87, died Feb. 15, 2006, at Good Samaritan Center.

She was born June 17, 1918, in Inman, the daughter of Henry and Olga Schmidt Pauls. She was a graduate of Inman High School. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a retired clerk with Self Service Drug and had worked for 20 years at the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post No. 68.

She belonged to Park Place Christian Church.

On Aug. 28, 1938, she married Herman Henry Colley in Oswego. He died Oct. 26, 1978.

Survivors include: four sons, Gary and wife, Debbie, Columbus, Ohio, Steve and wife, Kathy, Hutchinson, Larry and wife, Chris, Leadville, Colo., and Jeff Colley, Oklahoma; a daughter, Connie Jamieson and husband Guy, Hutchinson; a brother, Kenny Pauls, Hutchinson; four sisters, Ruby Greenfield, Hutchinson, Marna Sanders, Mount Vernon, Ind., Delores Giles, South Hutchinson, and Norma Gordon, Port Ritchie, Fla.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lee; three brothers, Harvey, Walter and LaVerne "Hank" Pauls; two sisters, Lynda Borth and Luella Atkinson; and a great-grandson, Christopher Copeland.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Art Maddock presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to service time on Saturday at the mortuary. The casket will remain closed. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
