Verna Mae (Cox) Curry, of Hutchinson, passed away January 16, 2020, at the age of 92, at Thorne Health Care Center.  She was born on November 11, 1927, in Lebanon, Kentucky, the oldest of five children.

Verna moved to Kansas at a young age and remained a Kansan for the rest of her life.  Verna worked as an X-ray technician at Grace Hospital until 1959.  On August 5, 1946, she married Bob G. Curry in Hutchinson, KS.  He preceded her in death.

Verna was an avid reader, wonderful painter, and had a love for Sedona, Arizona, and New York City, as well as her family.

Survivors include: their son, Kris Curry and wife, Mickey; their daughter, Kelly Curry and her husband, Terry Wilson.  She was cherished by four grandchildren: Adam Curry, Robin Minton, Meghan Price, and Kristopher Rainsberger.  They were also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren.

There will be no public service. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County or the Hutchinson Public Library, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson.
