Verna Yoder, 71, went to be with her Lord on April 23, 2012. She was born to Jacob N and Barbara Edna Nisly Yoder on Jan. 10, l941.
Her last days were at the hospital in Sun City West, Ariz.
She moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1970. She worked as an LPN at Good Samaritan Hospital. She also worked for various insurance companies. Later she moved to Wickenburg, Ariz. and was a member of the Berea Mennonite Church. She loved children and often after church was surrounded by little ones. Her church family looked after her and cared for her throughout the years when she was limited by her health. She was extremely grateful for them, and her family would like to express their gratitude to them as well. She came back to Hutchinson, Kan. for eleven years to lovingly care for her aging mother who died in 2003. She never lost courage despite all the challenges her frail body presented. In fact she found many ways to encourage and do things for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant brothers; and her brother, Ivan Ray Yoder.
