Vernon Gene Allen's Obituary
Vernon Gene Allen, 71, died Thursday April 8, 2010, at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge.
He was born May 6, 1938, at Centralhoma, Okla., to William Thomas and Nora May McGill Allen.
Vernon was a 1956 graduate of Kiowa Oklahoma High School and belonged to Abbyville Community Church.
On Nov. 16, 1962, he married Vonia R. Adams at Antlers, Okla. She survives.
Other survivors include: their children, William Cody, Kathy Krebaum, Linda and Jennifer Allen, all of Hutchinson; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers; Archie, Harley, Stanley and Wilburn.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at Abbyville Community Church, with Pastor Keith A. Dellenbach officiating. Friends may call 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Abbyville Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to the church in care of the mortuary.
