Vernon E. "Skip" Jenkins II, 67, of Hutchinson, died Nov. 8, 2012, at Hospice House. He was born Sept. 22, 1945, in Hutchinson, the son of Vernon E. and Elsie Graham Jenkins. Skip graduated from Lake Hamilton (Arkansas) High School in 1963, and was a guide for outdoorsman on fishing trips and an independent trucker. Skip was a member of the North American Fishing Club.

Survivors include: three sons, Chris Jenkins Brown, Durham, N.C., Tim Jenkins, and Robin Jenkins, both of Wichita; and his mother, Elsie Jenkins, Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
