Vicki Lynn Cox, 72, died November 10, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 11, 1953, in Peoria, IL, to Alan P. and Dolores "Dee" (Christofferson) Cothrell.

Vicki graduated from Bettendorf High School, Bettendorf, IA, in 1971. She loved animals and always showed empathy towards them. Vicki enjoyed plants and flowers, as well as spending time coloring and watching mysterious phenomenon television programs. Vicki was a selfless woman, who became a second mother to her three loving grandchildren.

On December 29, 1973, she married Robert David Cox, in Davenport, IA.

Vicki is survived by: her husband of almost 52 years, Robert Cox; father, Alan Cothrell; son-in-law, Lee Ward; grandchildren, Sheldon, Landon and Kyla Ward, all of Hutchinson; sister, Cathy Tucker of Centennial, CO; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Delores "Dee" Cothrell; daughter, Tonya Rae Ward; and son, Shawn Alan Cox.

Private family funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday.
