Vincent C. Hardwick, 87, died Feb. 13, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Chase, to Charles and Minnie E. (Rodaman) Hardwick.

Vincent worked in maintenance for Rainbow Bakery. On Oct. 13, 1950, he married G. Arlene Barb in Hutchinson. She died Jan. 20, 2002. Survivors include: two sons, John Hardwick and wife Linda of Eudora and Howard Hardwick and wife Tracey of Flower Mound, Texas; two sisters, Wilda Applegate and husband Bob of Hutchinson and Avanel Allison and husband Ray of Greensburg; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Vincent was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Dixon.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
