Obituary

ARLINGTON - Viola F. Burditt, 101, died Feb. 28, 2006, in Sun City, Ariz.

She was born Dec. 31, 1904, in Abbyville, the oldest daughter of Rudolph and Anna Miller. She attended Westminster School near Abbyville, Arlington High School and Bethany College, Lindsborg, studying music. A longtime Arlington resident, moving to Arizona in 1998, she was a postal clerk in Arlington.

She belonged to Arlington Presbyterian Church, Arlington, where she was the church pianist for many years. She married Ray Burditt. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son, Larry Jones, Lakewood, Colo.; four stepchildren, Ethel Jarvis and Dorthy Williams, both of California, and Kathy Desemo and Gwen Huck, both of Kansas; and a sister, Marie Wedel, Moundridge.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Annelle Ehmka.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Arlington Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Keith A. Dellenbach presiding. Inurnment will be in Arlington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the donor's choice, in care of the funeral home, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
