Viola Beryl Mount, 91, died Feb. 12, 2012, at North Hills Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born Jan. 5, 1921, in Haven, Kan., the daughter of Asa E. and Nellie A. Rogers Taylor.
She was a longtime Haven resident, moving to Hutchinson in 1999 and then to Fort Worth in 2009. She was a 1938 graduate of Haven High School, a 1942 graduate of Adela Hale Business College, a homemaker and a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Haven. She married Cyrus Milton Mount March 5, 1948, in Hutchinson. He died March 28, 2002. Survivors include: daughter, Cindy and husband Dean Black of Watauga, Texas; and three grandchildren, Misty Farrell, Troy and Corey Black. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Asa Taylor.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Haven, with Pastor Donovan Graber and Reverend Carl Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Cemetery, Haven. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to the church, in care of the mortuary. Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Park Hill Church in Springtown, Texas.
