Obituary

HUTCHINSON - Viola Smith, 80, died Oct. 16, 2006, at Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Boaz, Ala., the daughter of William L. and Josie C. Jones Williamson. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to Cornerstone Baptist Church.

On Feb. 5, 1944, she married Floyd E. Smith in Wiggins, Miss. He survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Frank, Columbus MS, Ronald, South Hutchinson, and Roger, Hutchinson; two daughters, Faye Johnson, Cornville, Ariz., and Patricia Underwood, Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Willie Williamson, Section, Ala.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Leavenworth National Cemetery, with Chaplain Randall Turner officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The casket will remain closed.
