Violet Jewell Lane's Obituary
Violet Jewell Lane, 99, passed away Oct. 1, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born May 5, 1915, in Bass, Ark., the daughter of Richard and Ira (York) Dean.
She had been a resident of Hutchinson since 1964, moving from her lifelong home in Newton County, Ark.
She is survived by: son, Elmo Lane and wife Nancy and daughter-in-law, Norma Lane Barnes, all of Hutchinson; daughter, Lorene Tyson and husband Duane of Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Violet was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Nelson and Kenneth Lane; and daughter, Linda Morton.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
