Virginia 'Jalayn' Falk, 89, died September 24, 2020, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson.  She was born December 2, 1930, in Kansas City, MO, to Fred Elbert and Marie (Shumway) Woodard.

Jalayn graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1948.  She worked in the office for her husband and brothers' business- Falk Bros. Floor Covering.  Jalayn later worked at Kitchen Kupboard, Hutchinson.  She volunteered at Hutchinson Hospital and enjoyed crafts, especially ceramics.  Jalayn was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi.

On December 5, 1948, she married Allen 'Jim' Falk, in Hutchinson, at the First Christian Church.  He died November 25, 1986.

Jalayn is survived by:  daughter, Deborah Delaney and husband Mike of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Christopher Delaney and wife Cassie of Bel Aire, Jon Delaney and wife Laura of Cumming, GA, Heather Case and husband Patrick of Grand Rapids, MI; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Grace Bible Church, 1221 E. 33 ^rd , Hutchinson, with Pastor Bart Horton officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends can sign her book from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hester Care Center for the loving care provided to Jalayn.
