Lee Stephenson

Ginny Stephenson, 93, passed away on November 3, 2021, at Pleasant View Home, Inman, Kansas, after a brief illness. She was born April 5, 1928, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Willis Hoagland and Hilda (Graber) Hoagland.
Ginny was a graduate of Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community College. She married B.L. Stephenson on July 19, 1948, in Hutchinson. In their early years, they owned and operated Stephenson Retail Liquor, which she managed after his death in July 1984. In 1987, she began her food service career at Hutchinson Hospital Corporation, now Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. In 2011, at the age of 83, she retired after 25 years of service.
Ginny was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brother, Bill Hoagland; grandson, Greg Stephenson; and great-grandson, Wyatt Harper.
She leaves behind: her sons, Brad (Carol Walle) Stephenson of Buhler, and Scott Stephenson of the home; granddaughter, Cari (Wylie) Baker of Hutchinson; great-grandsons, Gauge (Kensley) Harper of South Hutchinson, and Colton Harper of Lincoln, Nebraska; great-granddaughter, Maci Harper of Lincoln, Nebraska; great-great-grandchildren, Alaina Harper and Nolan Harper of South Hutchinson; step grandchildren, B.J. Walle of Kamiah, Idaho, and Megan (Scott) Tajchman of Emporia, Kansas; seven step great-grandchildren; extended family, neighbors, and long-time coworkers.
Friends may call Friday, November 12, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, followed by the burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, Ginny's family suggests memorials to Hospice & HomeCare of Reno County or Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary Gift Shop in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
