Obituary

Virginia L. Livengood, 83, Wichita, formerly of Hutchinson, died March 21, 2011, at Sandpiper Bay Health Care Center, Wichita.

She was born Dec. 31, 1927, in Diggins, Mo., the daughter of Harry Caldwell and Lenora Jane Cotton Rea.

She was a homemaker and worked many years with the Reno County Election Board and was a former cook at Union Valley Grade School.
She was a member of Union Valley Bible Church.

On Feb. 9, 1951, she married Lawrence H. Livengood in Hutchinson. He died Sept. 2, 1995.

Survivors include: sons, Clayton, Spain, Steven, Valley Center, John and Bradley, both of Wichita; daughter, Marsha Baldridge, Ponca City, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Fairlawn Burial Park, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Union Valley Bible Church, with Pastor Steven Hodgson presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of the mortuary.
