Obituary

Virginia L. McInturff, 81, died April 11, 2014, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born February 2, 1933, in Dodge City, to Jay and Ruby (Orebaugh) Kline. Virginia graduated from Dodge City High School in 1951, and attended Dodge City Juco and Southwestern College. She worked for Kwik Shop and Dillons in the accounting department doing account receivables. After she retired, her and Jerry bought The Ramble-In-Motel in Syracuse, Kansas. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On July 5, 1953, she married Gerald "Jerry" McInturff in the First United Methodist Church in Dodge City. He survives.

Other survivors include: children, Bradley McInturff of Buhler, Kenneth McInturff and wife Robyn of Nickerson, Sheri Jowers and husband Kory of Hutchinson, and William McInturff of Hutchinson; brother, Richard Kline of Green Valley, Arizona; sister, Marilyn Shepard of Great Bend; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Ronnie McInturff, and sister-in-law, Carol Adamson.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Warren Hett officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Mennonite Friendship Communities Mennonite Endowment Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, Ks 67501.
