Virginia W. Neel's Obituary
Virginia W. Neel, 81, died Jan. 30, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born June 17, 1924, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Benjamin David and Ruby Whitzell Wyman. She graduated in 1942 from Hutchinson High School and attended Kansas State University. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to First Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson, and the Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
On Sept. 11, 1946, she married Dr. Wilbur B. Neel at Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Dr. James and wife, Louisa, Wichita; a daughter, Robin Poydence and husband, Victor, Plano, Texas; a brother, Philip Wyman, Fort Belvoir, Va.; and a grandson, Andrew Neel, Wichita.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Tim Soule presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. A private entombment will be in Fairlawn Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Public Library, in care of the funeral home.
