Virginia Diane Shearon, 79, died March 15, 2017, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Dodge City, to James D. and Viola (Kimzey) Rogers.

Virginia graduated from Dodge City High School in 1955, was a homemaker, and worked for several years in academic services at Indiana State University. She attended Crossroads Christian Church and enjoyed music, journaling and scrapbooking.

On June 6, 1965, she married Kenneth Ray Shearon in Dodge City. He died Dec. 25, 2001. Virginia is survived by: sons, Michael Shearon and wife Tempie of Ann Arbor, MI, Jeffrey Shearon and wife Marci of Hutchinson, Gregory Shearon and wife Stephanie of South Bend, IN; and grandchildren, Shelby Shearon, Jordan Shearon, Rachel Shearon, and Julia Shearon. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joyce Meisel.
