Virginia "Ginger" Stiggins, 71, died Nov. 19, 2022, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City with family by her side.

She was born July 2, 1951, in Hutchinson (on her father's birthday), the daughter of Max "Lynn" and C. Naomi Stiggins. She was a graduate of Partridge High School in 1969. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Education (1974), Emporia State University with a Master of Library Science (1982), and from Wichita State University with a Specialist in Education (1990).

During her professional career she worked at Gardner-Edgerton-Antioch U.S.D. #231 as the Developmentally Delayed Kindergarten Teacher, Wichita Public Schools U.S.D. #259 at Dunbar Adult Education Center as Instructor/Building Coordinator, Wichita Public Schools U.S.D. #259 Library Media Specialist, Wichita Public Schools U.S.D. #259 at Ingalls World of Knowledge Magnet School as Assistant Principal, Nickerson – Reno Valley U.S.D #309 as Principal, and Fairfield East Elementary U.S.D. #310 as Principal. In total she spent 35 years teaching.

She was a lifelong member of the Partridge Community Church. After retirement she was the Librarian for the City of Arlington. She held that position for many years.

Survivors include: two children, Sam Eberly (Jamie), Halstead, Kyndie Eberly, Partridge. Two grandchildren Wyatt and Tessa Eberly, Halstead, two sisters, Janice Richardson, Partridge, Vicki Galloway, Partridge, and three nephews.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Lynn and Naomi Stiggins, and infant grandson Waylon Eberly.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday December 9, 2022, at Partridge Community Church. Visitation with family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday December 8, 2022, at Partridge Community Church.
