Vivian I. Wall, 75, died March 29, 2010, at St. Francis Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita.

She was born Feb. 25, 1935, in Garden City, to Corwin and Irene Duncan Betts.

She was a Hutchinson resident since 1952, moving here from Garden City. She was a graduate of Garden City High School in 1952 and a graduate of the Salt City Business College in Hutchinson. For over 25 years she was the cashier at Dillons Northgate Grocery Store. She attended Westside Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lysle Rishel American Legion Post #68 of Hutchinson and the Garden City Eagles Lodge.

She married Robert L. Wall on April 25, 1964, in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Rick and wife Debra Wall, Hutchinson; a step-daughter, Pam and husband Tom Jakoplic, Burrton; a brother, Leon and wife Evelyn Betts, Garden City; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Wall.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Eldon Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
