Obituary

Wallace A. 'Wally' Harden, 84, of Hutchinson, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1935, in Hutchinson, to Alva A. and Ethel V. (Kollhoff) Harden.

Wally graduated from Reno Community High School in Nickerson in 1953 and was a farmer and stockman. He served on the Farmers Coop Board, Nickerson, as Grant Township trustee, and on the Reno County Farm Bureau Board. Wally was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and was a past member of Nickerson Lions Club, Hutchinson Ambucs, and Loyal Order of Moose #982.

On August 1, 1959, he married Barbara Marie 'Barb' Wisby in Hutchinson. They later divorced. On August 15, 1985, he married A. 'Pat' Armer in Windom. She died September 21, 2010. Wally then remarried Barb and she died April 19, 2013.

Wally is survived by: companion, Jeanette Salatino; children, Craig Harden and Julie Tomac (Lew), all of Hutchinson; daughter-in-law, Dea Harden, Nickerson; grandchildren, Karie Redman, Kelsey Boster, Jessica Gall, Taylor, Jason, and Cooper Harden, Ellyssa, Micah, Zoe, and Rachel Tomac; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Kingsley, Spokane, WA, Cecelia Steele (Mark), Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; sons, Kurt and Clint; brothers, Doug and Everett; sisters, Virginia Culver, Ann Stucky, and Glenda Parkhurst.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2019, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 140 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Reno County or Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
