Walter F. Murphy's Obituary
LITTLE RIVER - Walter F. "Whitey" Murphy, 81, died Dec. 7, 2006, at Sandstone Heights and Village Nursing Home, Little River.
He was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Rosalia, the son of Thomas J. and Zora Frick Murphy, Sr. A former resident of Hutchinson, he was a pumper in the oil field.
Survivors include: two sisters, Ruth Varney, Lyons and Pearl Lake, Little River; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by six brothers.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today Saturday and Sunday at the chapel.
Memorials may be sent to Sandstone Heights and Village Nursing Home, in care of the funeral home.
