Wanda M. Bofink, 89, died March 29, 2014, surrounded by family. She was born January 1925, in Hanover, Michigan, to to W.R. and Edith (Corbett) Johnson. Wanda graduated from Hanover High School in 1943. She really enjoyed reading, word games, and crossword puzzles. Wanda was an avid basketball fan who loved Michigan and Michigan State. She also enjoyed watching and playing golf.

She married her beloved husband H.E. "Pete" Bofink on August 17, 1946. He preceded her in death December 15, 2007. They were married 61 years.

She is survived by: children, Marcia Menzer and husband Don of Goddard, and F. Craig Bofink and wife Cassandra of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Amanda Ocker and husband Travis, F. Cal Bofink; great-grandchildren, Chaddwick and Rachelle Saylor-Ocker, and Natalie and Jacob Bofink.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life service will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be to the Reno County Food Bank, First Call For Help, or to the Wounded Warriors Project, all in care of the funeral home.
