Wanda J. Delehoy, 63, of Hutchinson, was called to her heavenly home Jan. 13, 2016. She was born March 4, 1952, in Clay Center, to Donald and Lola (Allen) Parsons.
She graduated from Central Christian High School in 1970 and then from Hutchinson School of Nursing in 1975. Wanda was a Registered Nurse for many years, working for Hutchinson Hospital, the Medical Center and Hutchinson Clinic. She will be remembered most for her love and compassion for people and devotion to her family, especially to her grandchildren.
On June 5, 1971, she married Gary Delehoy in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: her daughters, Alisha Pollock (John) of Spokane, Wash., Angela Clark (Adam) of Hutchinson; five grandchildren; brothers, Loren Parsons (B.J.) and Richard Parsons (Judy); sisters, Karen Neufeld (Rod), Donna Fornwalt (Bob); and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Blake Gillen presiding. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wanda Delehoy Memorial Fund, to be used towards expenses, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
