Obituary

Wanda "Sally" Kemp, 90, of Hutchinson, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2022, at Hester Care Center.  She was born March 19, 1931, in Kingman, to Marvin J. and Hilia E. (Strickland) Kemp.

Wanda graduated from Kingman High School. She was a long-time employee of Boeing and spent much of her life in Seattle, WA, before returning to Kansas to be near family after retirement.

Wanda embraced the adventure of travel, especially enjoying time in Hawaii and Alaska. An avid rock collector, she also displayed a lifetime love of animals. She took special pleasure in spending time with family.

Wanda is survived by: brother, Lawrence Kemp of Kingman; sisters-in-law, Edna Ruth Kemp of Pretty Prairie and Carol Kemp of Castleton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Juanita Henning and Betty White; brothers, Paul Kemp and Calvin Joe Kemp.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Cleveland Cemetery, SW 20 th Ave., Kingman. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hutchinson Zoo or Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Towers in Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
