Wanda M. Kindhart, 80, died Sept. 29, 2010, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson. She was born May 14, 1930, in Healy, Kan., the daughter of Ray and Crcil Fitzgerald. She graduated from Scott City High School in 1948.
She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church of Hutchinson and Highlands Golf Course Club.
She married Robert Vantuyl in May 1951. She later married Leo Kindhart on July 8, 1989, in Great Bend, Kan. He survives. Survivors include: daughter, Connie Goldbsy and husband Lou, Overland Park, Kan.; son, Robert Vantuyl Jr. and wife Dana, Shawnee, Kan.; stepdaughter, Debra Pound and husband Donnie, St. John, Kan.; stepson, David Kindhart and wife Karen, Emporia, Kan.; stepbrother, Dennis Siegrist and wife Marilyn, Scott City, Kan.; granddaughter, Meredith Preble and husband Wes, Portland, Ore.; grandson, Marshall Preble, Shawnee, Kan.; and five step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Donna Hardesty.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Jim Rhaesa presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family present 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are to Victory in the Valley in care of the mortuary.
