Wanda L. Moore, 81, died July 28, 2014, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Quenemo, Kan., to Earl C. and Winnifred L. (Athens) Allan. She graduated from Buhler High School in 1950.

Wanda was a member of The Corner Stone Baptist Church. She loved gardening, crocheting beanie hats for newborn babies as a member of the Crochet Angels, and donated lap blankets for various nursing homes. She had a passion for music, which included being involved in gospel bands and setting up nursing home music entertainment. Wanda was a very caring and giving person.

On Oct. 13, 1951, she married Garrie Moore in Raton, N.M. She is survived by: husband, Garrie Moore of the home; children, Lilah Betts and husband Cliff, Lesa Harvey and husband John, Kenny Moore Jr. and wife Keri, all of Hutchinson; sister, Reba Jansen of Medora; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard E. Allan Rodney E. Allan; and a son, Kenneth Moore Sr.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Larry Wedel officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
