Wanda Strouse, 74, died Nov. 21, 2008, at Promise Regional Medical Center E.R., Hutchinson. She was born June 24, 1934, in Ellinwood, the daughter of Rafael M. and Concepcion Alatorre Anzo. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to St. Teresa's Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society at the church.
On June 7, 1970, she married Ronald Strouse in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Gary Agoitia, Hutchinson, Bennie Agoitia and wife Torey, Hutchinson, and Glenn Strouse, Eugene, Ore.; two daughters, Debbie Chattam and husband Daymond, Winfield, and Robyn Rychlec and husband Eric, Hutchinson; four brothers, Andrew Anzo, Mexico City, Mexico, Ralph Anzo, Hutchinson, Jessie Anzo, Weed, Calif., and Augustine Anzo, Fountain View, Calif.; four sisters, Ruth Perez, Emporia, Helen Alonzo, Hutchinson, Alice Trujillo, Sylma, Calif., and Rafaela Garcia, Hutchinson; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Phillip and Delfino "Tony" Anzo, grandson, Joshua Chattam.
Parish rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, with Memorial Mass to follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 26, 2008, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Nicholas Voelker presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary.
