Wanda M. Wiens, 84, died May 21, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Hutchinson, to David and Katherine (Ewy) Friesen.

Wanda was a lifetime homemaker and dedicated to the care of her family. She enjoyed many hobbies, including: cooking, crafting, gardening, camping and traveling. They so fondly enjoyed traveling that they visited all 50 states and 14 countries.

On Feb. 16, 1957, she married Edwin "Dick" Wiens in Hutchinson. They shared 59 years of marriage. Wanda is survived by: husband, Dick, of the home; daughter, Tina Kirkpatrick and husband Chris Latimer; grandchildren, Lisa Byard, Jesse Vieyra, Angie Stout; and seven great-grandchildren, all of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother; and three sisters.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Mel Parrott officiating. Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Tuesday at the mortuary.
