Watson Dane Mendoza, 4 months, unexpectedly passed away May 2, 2022, at his home. He was born on December 24, 2021, in Newton, KS, to Donte Mendoza and Maggie Ellis.

Watson was always laughing and smiling. He enjoyed bath time, playing with his toys and especially loved playing with his bubba, Saturn.

Watson is survived by: his parents, Donte Mendoza and Maggie Ellis, of the home; brother, Saturn, Mendoza, of the home; grandparents, Dannah Ellis, Cara Love-Ellis, Mahala Sage, and Sergio Mendoza, all of Hutchinson; aunts and uncles, Noelani and Amethyst Mendoza, Davante (Savanna Curry) Mendoza, Dacie Ellis, Rachel Darrough, and Angela Hardcastle; great-uncles, Mark Ellis and Austin Sage; great-aunts, Debbie Hargett and Michelle Sage; as well as many cousins

Watson was preceded in death by: great-uncle, Joshua Love.

Funeral services will be Tuesday May 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Todd Ray presiding. Friends may call Monday, May 9, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present to receive family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
