Obituary

Waunita Orlean Douglass, 87, of Hutchinson, died Oct. 22, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 3, 1925, in Newton, Kan., to Roy and Lucille Gale Corfman.

She was a member of Union Valley Bible Church and was a carrier for the Hutchinson News paper. On Jan. 4, 1942, she married Logan Ray Douglass in McPherson, Kan. He died Aug. 22, 1982. Other survivors include: sister, Wanda Biggs of Hutchinson, Kan.; brothers, Roy Dean Corfman and wife Arlene of Newton, Kan. and Dale Corfman of Newton, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Ronald Douglass.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Steve Hodgson presiding. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Valley Bible Church Missions Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
