Obituary

Wayland Slabach, 90, formerly of Windom, died December 24, 2020.  He was born September 23, 1930, in Hutchinson, to Leo Kelly and Dorothy Anna (Wilke) Slabach.

Wayland graduated from Inman High School in 1949, and was a lifelong farmer.  Wayland enjoyed bowling at The Alley, and was a member of Hope Church, Hutchinson (formerly First Assembly of God Church).

Wayland is survived by:  sister, Marilyn Christner of Hutchinson; nieces and nephews, Mike Christner of Indiana, Rex Christner (Terry) of Hutchinson, Keith Christner (Julie) of Garden City, Jay Christner (Donna) of Augusta, Kathy Carroll (Jamie), and Cindy Adcock (Jeremy), all of Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020, at North Inman Cemetery, with Pastor Bob Phipps officiating.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
