Wayne Allen Kaufman, 83, died June 21, 2011, at Pleasant View Home in Inman.
He was born June 14, 1928, in Havelock, Iowa, to Joseph and Mattie Kennel Kaufman.
He was a 1947 graduate of Havelock High School. He retired from the Railroad in Iowa, and later worked at Rose Motor and other various jobs in Hutchinson. He was also a member of the 11th Ave. Chapel, Hutchinson.
On Aug. 23, 1987, he married Mary Ruth Gibson in Hutchinson.
She survives. Other survivors include: a daughter, Debra Ruehl and husband, Dwight, Worland, Wyo.; a son, Dan Kaufman, Basin, Wyo.; stepdaughters, Kelly Ritter and husband, Leo, Hutchinson, and Amy Stover and husband, Joseph, Hutchinson; a stepson, Chris Moore, Hutchinson; a sister, Bernice Johnson, Miner, Ill.; a brother, Will Kaufman, Bartlesville, Okla.; two step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ralph Kaufman; and sisters, Marie Kaufman and Marcille Davidhizer.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Earlene Ratliff presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
