Weston Joseph "Wes" Hendrickson, 72, died March 8, 2006, at his home, Hutchinson.
He was born Jan. 2, 1934, in Ford, the son of Ralph Henry and Elizabeth Anne Tockert Hendrickson. He was a 1952 graduate of Hutchinson High School. A lifelong Hutch-inson resident, he was a locomotive engineer for Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years.
He belonged to American Legion Lysle Rishel Post No. 68 and the United Transportation Union. He was a veteran of the Kansas Army National Guard.
On May 25, 1962, he married Shirley Ann Hurt in Newton. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Wayne Ehret and wife, Melissa, Houston, and Robert Ehret and wife, Letha, Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Deanna Nulf and husband, Ray, Hutchinson, and Debra Jones and husband Gene, Dumas, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Frederick J. Obold presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
