Obituary

Wilbur Carroll Sloan, 95, died May 10, 2015, at Thorne Care Center at Wesley Towers. He was born October 4, 1919, to Carroll William and Louise Lydia (Goll) Sloan in Cleveland, KS. He graduated from Kingman High School in 1937. He was a Holstein dairy farmer, Salesman and District Manager for Moorman Feed Company, a member of the United Methodist Church in Kingman and Hutchinson and on the Board of Directors for several years for Youthville in Dodge City.

On June 1, 1941 Wilbur married Doris Jean Sitts near Rago, KS. She died November 2, 2012.
Survivors include: sons, Dan Sloan and wife Marilyn of Diamondhead, MS, Dave Sloan of Eaton, CO, Jim Sloan and wife Sandy of Willow Springs, MO; grandchildren, Darin, Brandon, Justin, Matthew, Anna and Anjolene; great-grandchildren, Gabby and Andrew. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Doris.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, KS with Jeanine I. Rishel presiding.
