William C. 'Bill' Girard, 71, of Hutchinson, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. He was born October 1, 1946, in Belleville, Kansas, to William J. and Ardys C. (Harsh) Girard.

Bill was devoted to his family and to APAC-Kansas, Inc. Shears Division, where he worked for 45 years. He retired as the president in 2013. During the 45 years, he made numerous friends, which became his work family. In his free time, he enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with his family at the cabin.

On December 23, 1966, he married Kaydeen S. Tinkler in Bennington, KS. She survives. Bill is also survived by: son, Chad and wife Tessa of Wichita; sisters, Sheryl and husband Ed Heald of Tulsa, OK; Florine and husband Jerry Lockett of Foristell, MO; brother-in-law, Lyle Tinkler of Bennington; and grandchildren, Austin and Jake. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Paul Girard; and sister-in-law Jayne Tinkler.

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Burial will take place at Bennington Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday with the family to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Elliott Mortuary.
