William E. "Bill" Kellogg Jr., 67, died July 25, 2015, at Pleasant Hills Home. He was born June 1, 1948, in Riverside, Calif., to William Sr. and Josephine (Bauer) Kellogg. Bill graduated from Moreno Valley High School, Moreno Valley, Calif., in 1966, and Hutchinson Community College in 1996 and attended Wichita State University. He was a Patrol Sergeant for the Reno County Sheriff's Department for 20 years, retiring in 1994.
On Nov. 2, 1974, he married Elizabeth Faye Feerer at Beloit, Kan. She survives. Other survivors include: four sons, Jeffrey Kellogg of Hutchinson, Michael Kellogg of Wichita, Jonathan Kellogg of Albuquerque, N.M., and Adam Popp of Derby; daughters, Sheryl Riccardi of Henderson, Nev., and Rebecca Bucholzer of Hemet, Calif.; mother; sister, Mary Anguino, both of Moreno Valley, Calif.; sister, Diana Nussberger of Tucson, Ariz.; aunt, Sister Margaret Bauer of Frederick, N.J.; mother-in-law, Virginia Feerer of Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, Kay Kellogg of Yakima, Wash., and Marji Dickson and husband Lynn, Leavenworth, Kan.; brothers-in-law, Vint Feerer, Belleville, Ill. and Warren Feerer and wife Pam, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Avery, AnnMayre, and Braeden Kellogg; and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Joseph Kellogg; and father-in-law, Rev. Virgil C. Feerer.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Park Place Christian Church, 2600 N. Adams, Hutchinson, with Pastors Lynn Taylor and Jeff Arnold officiating. Friends may sign register book from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or to the Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
