William J. "Bill" Rogers, 64, died Feb. 15, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
He was born Aug. 1, 1944, in Yates Center, the son of Vernon and Ethel Pickering Rogers.
He graduated in 1962, from Burlington High School, Burlington. A resident of Hutchinson since 1967, he was the owner and operator of Bill's Appliances and Bill's Moving and Storage.
On Jan. 1, 1990, he married Vernetta Mae Hester Boxberger in Parsons. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Jeff, Hutchinson; four daughters, Shawna Rogers, Debbie Fuller, and Tracy Harms, all of Hutchinson, and Pam Grimm, Dallas; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Rogers.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 18, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Luanne Haddaway and the Rev. John Chastain presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
