William "Billy" Oliver Kochase, 17, died Oct. 3, 2010, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born in Wichita, Nov. 21, 1992. Foster parents are Sam Hockman and Annie Upton.

He was a senior at Hutchinson High School. He enjoyed carpentry work with Sam, they just refinished the kitchen, and enjoyed cooking with Annie. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved camping, fishing, and biking, and was a self taught guitarist. He was a member of RYAC and KYAC, and Fostering in Faith program through SFCS.

Survivors include: his foster parents, Sam Hockman and Annie Upton; siblings, Michael, Matthew, John, Justin, Bobby, Ashley, Stevie, Sam, R.J., and Devon; foster siblings, Josh, Travis, and Tina; foster nephew, Brandon; foster grandparents, Raymond and Joyce Holl; and social worker, Jennifer Selby. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Dennis Finch officiating. Burial in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
