William J. Boor's Obituary
William J. "Bill" Boor, 84, died June 14, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital ER.
He was born on July 16, 1922, in Beaver, the son of Wenzel H. and Anna Marie Hipp Boor. He was a longtime resident of Hutchinson, moving from Ellinwood where they lived for 23 years. He graduated from Hanston High School. He was a retired construction worker.
He was a member of Carpenter's Union No. 201.
On Feb. 3, 1944, he married Eunice H. Dovel in Kinsley. She died Jan. 26, 2002.
Survivors include: one son, Bill, Sterling; four daughters, Linda Azzone, Wichita, Shirley Drennon, Hays, Sharon Proffitt, Hutchinson, and Becky Harmon, Sterling; a brother, Leo, Great Bend; a sister, Jane Henderson, Salem, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Boor.
Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Colin Boor presiding. Visitation will be from 9 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
